Event Update – Covid-19

5th June 2020

With 3 months to go to Dingle Marathon it very clearly is not possible to safely proceed with Dingle Marathon as planned based on the current guidance around COVID 19 restrictions.  Therefore, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone Dingle Marathon 2020 to Saturday 8th May 2021.

We fully appreciate the disappointment that this will bring but we must put the health and wellbeing of all our runners, walkers, crew, medical providers and all our collective extended community, team, and families first.  We feel that it is only fair to make the decision now in order that people can plan accordingly.

All existing registrations have automatically been transferred to Saturday 8th May 2021 and we have emailed all registered participants.  Should existing participants prefer to run the traditional date (4th September 2021) they can transfer their space by emailing [email protected] by 15th September 2020.

We stress that all registered participants for this sold out event are guaranteed entry to the postponed date of 8th May 2021 and that they can transfer to the 4th September 2021 event if they prefer.

Having been awarded Marathon of the Year in 2019, and Half Marathon of the Year for 4 years in a row since 2015, we were planning an epic 2020 event which sold out in a matter of days last October.  For now, our thoughts are with many of our team who are frontline workers and we look forward to brighter days in the beauty of Dingle Peninsula next year.

We thank you sincerely for your cooperation and understanding and please email us at [email protected] or message us on Facebook if we can be of any assistance.
