Half Marathon
Ability is what you are capable of doing.
Motivation determines what you do.

Attitude determines how well you do it.
--Lou Holtz

The half marathon is exactly 13.1 miles and has some interesting little ups and downs. The half marathon takes in the best of what Dingle has to offer.

As you travel past Ventry and beyond, you will encounter some breath taking views. It would not be considered an extremely tough run (as opposed to the full) but is challenging none the less.

The race finishes up in Dunquin where refreshments are available, buses are then provided for your return. Use the Google maps and tour provided which will give you an idea of where we are taking you.

The Dingle half marathon is quickly establishing itself as the leading Irish half marathon, this distance has become increasingly popular over the last few years. One of the largest races in Europe is a Half Marathon, the Great North Run boasting an attendance of over 50,000.

What makes the Dingle half marathon unique is the stunning scenery that it takes place in and that it all revolves around one of Ireland's most vibrant towns - Dingle.  All too often scenic race routes are isolated, so many of the runners miss out on the "Apres Ski" of the day. There is nothing like setting a Personal Best in a half marathon, but it really adds to the occasion, when you can enjoy a cold refreshment that night, and celebrate your achievment with your fellow runners.

Dingle is more than the scenery, it is a home of culture and a living tradition. Same with the Dingle half and full marathon, they are a celebration of what makes us tick as people, as runners - a personal challenge yet a very social event.
