The ultra will join up with the main half/full event in Dingle town. Once the ultra merges with the main event, normal marathon conditions will be in place. (see 'full marathon' for further details)
Ultra runners must wear 'Hi Vis' clothing, this is compulsory. Two race numbers will also be provided, these must be worn on both front and back.
A strict cut off time of 11 hours is in place. Note: this cut off will be strictly enforced. we are strongly recommending that if you are not sure you can make this time, then not to attempt the race.
Aid/refreshment will be located every 5 miles on the ultra course. A 'drop off' station will be in place on mile 19, we will take your bags at the start line and place on the station at mile 19. These bags will then be removed and placed on mile 35 once the runner is through. Both stations on mile 19 and 35 will have a lot of extra foods and fluids (fruits, sandwiches, cereal bars, energy bars, pastas, chocolate, sweets, gels, isotonics etc)
Start time is set for 7am sharp.
Chip timing is in place. You will receive a finish time only, no splits are in place.
Buses will be provided from Dingle to the start line. This bus will leave from the Skelligs hotel in Dingle at 05.45 AM sharp.
The course is officially measured by the athletics association of Ireland. The race is endorsed by ultra running Ireland and will be an international association of ultra runners labeled event.
Cost: €80 (Up to April 30th), €90 (May/June), €100 (July/August) (note this excludes an online booking fee of 6%+/-)
