Runners Information
  • Both the full and half marathon start at 9AM from Strand St. in Dingle town.
    (See race map in course section)
  • The half marathon finishes near Dunquin (outside Crugers pub) where provisions are made available and then buses are provided for the return in to Dingle town.
  • The full marathon does a full loop of the peninsula, finishing in Dingle Town(See race map in course section)

  • Entry fee includes: Race entry, chip timing, pack delivered to your door, pasta party, entertainment, bus journey, technical running shirt, medal, goody bag, discount for following year, BBQ, entrance to night club.
  • A paper application is also available to download under the 'register' section.
  • A runners pack with your number, information and chip will be sent to your address. This applies to ROI participants only. A registration desk will be in place the night before for participants from outside the ROI.
  • Participants from outside republic of Ireland must register the night before the marathon. Full details will be confirmed via email.
  • Pre registration for non Irish addresses will take place in the Pobal scoil in Dingle town from 4-9pm on Friday the 31st of August. Early Saturday morning registrations will take place from 7-8AM in the same location.
  • The pasta party will take place in the Pobal scoil in Dingle from 6-9pm on Friday the 31st of August.
  • Pobal scoil is located in Dingle town. (opposite the lidl store)
  • The chip will be already be assigned to your unique number.
  • Please write your details and medical information on the reverse of the number.
  • Their is no registration required before the marathon,(except participants coming from outside ROI) all details will be included in the pack (which is sent to the address provided on-line). You will arrive ready to go!
  • The course is Athletics Association of Ireland certified.

  • All times are recorded digitally and will be available on the web site after the run is complete.
  • The course is measured in miles.
  • This event is all run on road.
  • Full road closure is in place.
  • Water stations are placed every 3 miles along the way.
  • Walkers are welcome.
  • Half marathon cut off time is 3.5 hours.
  • Full marathon cut off time is 6.5  hours.
  • Portaloos are placed along the route.
  • Walkers, fun runners, joggers etc are all welcome.
  • The HSE and Civil Defence will have First Aid personnel strategically positioned in and around the route to assist any runners and also to ensure no disruption to normal day to day services.

  • All finishers are also invited to the Dingle Marathon pasta party on the Friday night, the BBQ after the event and the Hill Grove night club on Saturday night. All complimentary. 
  • NB please respect the environment you are in and be mindful of the local culture and community in which you are in. Without the help of the people of the Dingle, this unique event would not be possible.
